Montreal winters are hard on hardscaping that's built on shortcuts — that's why every patio, walkway or retaining wall we install starts with a properly excavated, frost-rated compacted base. Pavers are set true and level, joints are filled with polymeric sand to lock everything in place, and edges are restrained so nothing shifts after the first freeze-thaw cycle. Backed by manufacturer warranties, it's built to look as good in ten years as it does the day we finish.
